We uphold ethical conduct, lawful employment practices, and respect for human  rights.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Scope<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">This policy applies to all Life Australia divisions:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Cleaning Services<\/li>\n<li>Security Services<\/li>\n<li>All employees, cleaners, security officers, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers,  labour-hire providers, consultants, and business partners.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Policy Commitment<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia maintains zero tolerance for modern slavery. We commit to:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring all workers are employed voluntarily and lawfully<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring wages and entitlements meet legal requirements<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring safe working conditions across cleaning and security operations<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring suppliers comply with ethical labour standards<\/li>\n<li>Conducting due diligence on procurement and subcontracting<\/li>\n<li>Avoiding suppliers involved in modern slavery practices<\/li>\n<li>Providing safe reporting channels for concerns<\/li>\n<li>Taking corrective action where risks or violations are identified<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Ethical Purchasing &#038; Supplier Standards<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Suppliers must meet minimum standards relating to:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Health &amp; Safety: Safe working conditions, WHS compliance<\/li>\n<li>Environment: Sustainable practices, compliance with environmental laws<\/li>\n<li>Labour Rights: Lawful wages, safe conditions, no excessive hours<\/li>\n<li>Ethical Conduct: No coercion, intimidation, or exploitation<\/li>\n<li>Legal Compliance: Adherence to the Modern Slavery Act 2018<\/li>\n<li>Local Purchasing: Preference for local Australian suppliers where appropriate<\/li>\n<li>Child Labour: Strict prohibition of child labour in any part of the supply chain<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia may terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to meet these standards.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Child Labour<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia does not accept child labour. Our position aligns with:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989)<\/li>\n<li>ILO Minimum Age Convention No. 138<\/li>\n<li>ILO Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention No. 182<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Corrective action plans must prioritise the child\u2019s best interests.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Young Workers<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Young workers (15\u201318) may only be employed under lawful conditions that protect their safety, wellbeing, and education.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Recruitment Practices<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Recruitment must ensure:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Workers understand employment conditions<\/li>\n<li>No unlawful recruitment fees<\/li>\n<li>Workers retain personal identification documents<\/li>\n<li>Lawful wages and entitlements<\/li>\n<li>No coercion or intimidation<\/li>\n<li>Safe working conditions in both cleaning and security operations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Supply Chain Management<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Suppliers may be assessed based on:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Nature of services<\/li>\n<li>Workforce characteristics<\/li>\n<li>Labour-hire arrangements<\/li>\n<li>Compliance history<\/li>\n<li>Identified risks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Suppliers may be required to acknowledge and comply with this policy.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">Reporting<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Concerns may be reported through the Speak Up &#038; Whistleblower Process.
