Purpose<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia Pty Ltd is committed to conducting all business activities ethically, lawfully, safely,  and transparently. This Speak Up &#038; Whistleblower Policy provides a safe, confidential, and  protected mechanism for workers, contractors, and other eligible persons to raise concerns  about suspected unlawful, unethical, unsafe, or improper conduct.<\/p>\n<p>Life Australia encourages open communication and accountability. Individuals who raise  genuine concerns will be protected from retaliation, victimisation, or adverse treatment.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">2. Scope<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">This policy applies to:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Directors and senior management<\/li>\n<li>Cleaning staff, supervisors, team leaders<\/li>\n<li>Security officers, patrol officers, control room operators<\/li>\n<li>Facilities management personnel<\/li>\n<li>Contractors, subcontractors, labour-hire workers<\/li>\n<li>Volunteers, trainees, and job applicants<\/li>\n<li>Any person performing work for or on behalf of Life Australia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">This policy covers concerns relating to both Cleaning &#038; Security Service operations. <\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">3. What Can Be Reported?<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Concerns may include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>a. Unlawful or Criminal Conduct<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Theft, fraud, corruption<\/li>\n<li>Bribery, improper payments, kickbacks<\/li>\n<li>Misuse of client property or company assets<\/li>\n<li>Deliberate damage or sabotage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\"><strong>b. Serious Misconduct<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Falsification of records, timesheets, payroll information<\/li>\n<li>Serious breaches of company policy or procedures<\/li>\n<li>Serious conflicts of interest<\/li>\n<li>Unauthorised disclosure of confidential or client information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\"><strong>c. Safety, Environmental &#038; Operational Risks<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Serious breaches of WHS requirements<\/li>\n<li>Unsafe work practices<\/li>\n<li>Environmental harm, chemical spills, improper waste disposal<\/li>\n<li>Security breaches, access-control failures, patrol misconduct<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\"><strong>d. Ethical &#038; Human Rights Concerns<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Exploitation, forced labour, modern slavery<\/li>\n<li>Bullying, harassment, discrimination<\/li>\n<li>Abuse of authority or position<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\"><strong>e. Conduct Causing Significant Harm <\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Actions that may cause financial, legal, safety, environmental, or reputational harm to Life Australia or its clients.<br \/>\nDeliberately false or malicious allegations may be treated as misconduct.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">4. Policy Statement<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia encourages all workers to speak up when they reasonably believe that serious  wrongdoing has occurred, is occurring, or may occur. <\/p>\n<p>No person will be disadvantaged, dismissed, threatened, or subjected to detrimental  treatment for making a genuine report under this policy. Life Australia is committed to: <\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Protecting individuals who raise concerns<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring fair, objective, and confidential investigations<\/li>\n<li>Taking corrective action where required<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">5. Reporting Channels<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Individuals may report concerns through any of the following channels: <\/p>\n<p><strong>a. Alternative Internal Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Where the concern involves a manager or supervisor, reports may be made.<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Senior Management<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<li>Compliance Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\"><strong>c. External Reporting (Where Appropriate)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Individuals may also report matters to:<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Queensland Police Service<\/li>\n<li>Fair Work Ombudsman<\/li>\n<li>Office of Industrial Relations<\/li>\n<li>Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (privacy breaches)<\/li>\n<li>ASIAL (security industry matters)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">External reporting should be used where legally required or where internal reporting is not appropriate.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">6. Confidentiality<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia will take reasonable steps to protect:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>The confidentiality of the report<\/li>\n<li>The identity of the person making the report<\/li>\n<li>Sensitive information relating to the investigation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Information will only be disclosed:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>To persons with a legitimate need to know<\/li>\n<li>Where required by law<\/li>\n<li>Where necessary for a fair and proper investigation<\/li>\n<li>With the consent of the person making the report<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">All records will be stored securely and handled in accordance with privacy and data-protection requirements.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">7. Investigation Process<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Reports will be assessed promptly and investigated objectively and impartially. Investigations may include:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Reviewing documents, records, and operational logs<\/li>\n<li>Interviewing relevant persons<\/li>\n<li>Examining CCTV footage, access-control logs, patrol records<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing cleaning schedules, timesheets, or site instructions<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining independent advice where necessary<\/li>\n<li>Implementing corrective or disciplinary action<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">The person making the report will receive acknowledgement and, where legally permissible, information about the outcome.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">8. Protection Against Retaliation<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Retaliation, victimisation, intimidation, or adverse treatment against a person who makes a genuine report is strictly prohibited.<\/p>\n<p>Examples of retaliation include:<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Dismissal or demotion<\/li>\n<li>Reduction in hours or shifts<\/li>\n<li>Threats or intimidation<\/li>\n<li>Harassment or discrimination<\/li>\n<li>Unfair treatment or exclusion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Any suspected retaliation must be reported immediately and may result in disciplinary action.<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">9. Records &#038; Documentation<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">All records relating to reports, investigations, and outcomes will be:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>Stored securely<\/li>\n<li>Restricted to authorised personnel<\/li>\n<li>Maintained in accordance with privacy, legal, and record-retention requirements<\/li>\n<li>Reviewed periodically to ensure compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">10. Training &#038; Awareness<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_text\">Life Australia will ensure:<\/div>\n<div class=\"inner_page_list mt-3\">\n<ul>\n<li>All employees receive training on this policy during induction<\/li>\n<li>Supervisors and managers understand their responsibilities<\/li>\n<li>Contractors and subcontractors are informed of reporting mechanisms<\/li>\n<li>Regular communication reinforces the importance of speaking up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"policy_page_heading\">11.
